Our Roots at A Gift for Mom

A Gift for Mom was born from the shared dreams and unwavering determination of two passionate women. Teresa, who transitioned from bedside nursing to executive leadership, brought a deep understanding of patient care and empathy, while Krista, with her expertise in branding and marketing, moved from hospital care to senior living. They first crossed paths in long-term care, working with seniors, including those facing the challenges of Alzheimer’s and dementia.

With over 75% of nursing home residents experiencing isolation, Teresa and Krista dedicated themselves to helping families find quality care and supportive environments for their loved ones. Together, they have made it their mission to ensure no one is forgotten.

Our team has since grown with the addition of Vanessa, a talented creative director and a true Proverbs 31 woman. Inspired by the Holy Spirit, Vanessa transforms our vision into reality, from designing our website to curating our catalogs. Her creativity and faith bring life to every project, reflecting our core values of quality, simplicity, trust, and gratitude.

Driven by a deep love for gift-giving and honoring our loved ones, A Gift for Mom became more than just a passion project. For many of us, this work is personal. Our team members have seen loved ones suffer from conditions like Alzheimer’s, Agent Orange exposure, and other debilitating diseases. This connection fuels our commitment to create meaningful memories from everyday moments.
